Shree Singh

Shree Singh left her cooperate job abroad and chose to live and raise a family in a remote Himalayan village situated int he Indian state of Uttarakhand. A trained Yoga Instructor for the Sivanand School, she is a practitioner of yoga, a teacher, a lawyer and a homemaker. A student of the Sanskrit language, she is equally adept with the by-lanes of metropolitans and the trails of high altitude Himalayas.

Common Questions

  • The tour begins and ends in Delhi. Pick up and drop off from and to the Indira Gandhi International Airport is included.

    Also included is all in country travel for the duration of the guided tour. 12 nights lodging. All accommodations and all meals. The scheduled guided group activities (Yoga, Hiking, Temple Tours) are also included.

    Airfare and any personal expenses are not included.

  • We are happy to offer advice on flights and passport requirements for all of our trips. Please contact Thad directly.

    Keep in mind that you will still be responsible for booking/arranging your international flights and they are not included in this North India tour.

  • Pack Light!

    We love traveling light, especially in India. Many items can be acquired in India and it is kind of a fun side mission to go to the market and buy something locally rather than haul it across the globe.

    Pack good shoes for hiking and walking on uneven terrain.

    Pack layers. It can be cold at night in the mountains and hot during the day.

    We recommend a Water Bottle, Headlamp and a Journal.

    Tents and sleeping bags will be provided for any overnight camping expeditions, so you can leave your heavy gear at home.

  • Strive to be in your best health so you can come into the tour feeling strong and healthy.

    We will have options for varying degrees of physical fitness.

    This trip does include hiking at altitudes above 10,000ft. The hikes are steady and not extreme, but they will require some level of physical fitness. If you have any doubts on your ability to hike in the Mountains, please contact us so we can talk it through together.

  • You may cancel your trip at anytime up until 60 days prior to the trip start date and apply your full payment to a future trip/retreat/service with us.

    Pre-booking is required by us to secure our lodging and activities and we will not be able to provide a full credit if cancelled within 60 days of the trip start date.

  • We hope our retreat inspires you to explore more of India on your own!

    We will do our best to stick to the Itinerary as laid out in the PDF.

    All activities are optional. However, going off on your own, booking different activities or lodgings, will be at your own expense as this tour is priced to include our scheduled activities and pre-booked accommodations.
